Game stared fine then lagged and froze….what gives..

First always game I buy on my MacBook Pro (201) all stock no egpu). Graphics are okay and the gameplay is nifty. There is a little lag at time only nothing crazy.

I was just done leaving the phrophet'due south thomb phase when the game froze and started to lag big fourth dimension. I had to forcequit the game in society to get the macbook working again. I will try and play information technology once more, hope it saved my game, if this continues its was a complete waste product of my $$$.

this ane has many beautiful maps with many interesting tomb riddles... even after you lot are done with the story (which is good), you still have extra objectives to practice and I really enjoy the mysterious scenes of the witch cavern (ane of my favorite challenge).

if you bask shooting amd fighting and the smart behavior of enemy, the previous one (underworld) is better. I can tell the obvious... considering this 1 doesn't give you as much upgrade of weapon and fight skills every bit the other ane. the enemy too seems to be less "intelligent" and so you tin can kill them easier.

I beloved tomb challenge because of the mysterious and rusty feel of aboriginal tombs... also in this one every map and tomb are completely different... scenes are well invested... so many riddles that can hurt your caput sometimes just also make the game enjoyable. I enjoyed it so much that I wish information technology was longer only I actually spent quite a good time playing the game. So the money was well spent.

Worth the wait

Very pleased that I can go along to explore the worlds of Lara Croft on the Mac. And glad that the championship is indeed a 64-bit awarding for enjoyment for years to come.

The graphics are impressive indeed. I maxed out the graphics settings and ran at a full 5120 x 2880 resolution on my iMac Pro with Vega 56 GPU. Only a couple spots stuttered, and then lowered a few settings. Speaking of which, really nice to run across the screen dynamically update while you change settings. Y'all tin can really understand what well-nigh the image is improving.

Graphic content itself has actually improved over earlier titles (every bit expected). Character realism has improved and the 3D models are much smoother (y'all encounter less traces of simple polygons; especially in rounded surfaces). I really similar the transparencies in the ice. Lara'southward movements are now richer besides (more multifariousness). E.grand. walking through deeper snowfall.

Gameplay is bang-up and most of the learned movements from the previous title all work as expected. I did add alternate keys though for general movement (arrows) to match what I had in before titles. Very easy to practise.

1 very minor result (though may be notwithstanding do to near maxed-out settings) is audio (speaking) seems slightly out-of-sync with player'south mouths. Just that is not taking away from the game itself.

Looking forward to completing this title and equally with older titles, definitely come across replayability.
